experience:
after a year long internship at the swa group in south florida during his time at purdue, a two month self directed exploration of europe, and a two week participation with save the rainforest and the programme for belize in central america, chad starting working at a design firm in san antonio in 1995.
he gained lasting exposure to great design by participating on projects such as the international center, the expansion of the convention center, several sharyland plantation developments, and various apartment complexes. he gained project management experience on such jobs as the clear channel communications headquarters, concordia lutheran church, and concord office building.
the new century brought new opportunities as chad grew the residential division of a large design/build firm from the grass roots. eventually becoming the design/build director for residential and commercial operations, he was actively involved in projects such as the renovation of ingram park mall, cancer research center building, spanish trail apartment complex, and the master planning of wilford hall hospital at lackland air force base.
besides designing amazing spaces for great clients, currently, chad has been readily involved with the alamo community college district by teaching various design courses since 1998.
